Existentialism is a philosophical position reflected in works of a group of nineteenth and twentieth century philosophers who, despite doctrinal differences,[1][2] shared the belief that philosophical thinking begins with the human subject—not merely the thinking subject, but the acting, feeling, living human individual.[3][4] Existentialist philosophy is the explicit conceptual manifestation of an existential attitude that recognizes the unresolvable confusion of the human world and begins with a disoriented individual facing a confused world that he cannot accept.[5][6][7] Many existentialists have also regarded traditional systematic or academic philosophy, in both style and content, as too abstract and remote from concrete human experience.[8][9] Dear Dr. Donohue: My husband is 65 and a truck driver who gets little exercise. He drinks eight to 10 beers a night, and on weekends eight to 18. He weighs 320 pounds and is 6 feet 1 inch tall. His blood pressure is 160/90. He takes no pills and will not go to a doctor. How long before damage is done? I spoke to one doctor, who said he probably will be OK until the day he dies, and that most likely would be within 10 years. Your view, please. what is love ?
